This semi manged to crash uphill
(speed was believed to be a contibuting factor)
Location : Tully gorge road,Tully Far North Queensland Australia.
Date : August 2003.
Attending was Queensland Fire & Rescue Service,Vehicle 298.
Queensland
Police and Queensland Ambulance Service.
On arrival we observed the driver hanging out of the top of the prime
mover(he had been squeesed out of the cab like tooth paste from a
tube.He was alive suffering from internal injuries and some broken
bones.
The trailer had clipped an over hanging tree on a bend travelling up a
hill
this jacknifed the trailer turning the prime mover on its side.The prime
mover struck another tree destroying the cab. In the picture you can see
the tree leaning over that it struck.In the middle picture you can see
the
steering wheel (remember its right hand drive) with zoom.
