Back To Fire Truck Main

The Allen Township Fire Co. #1, Northampton, PA Northampton County recently took delivery of this 2002 Freightliner FL112, Central States Pumper/Tanker.  The apparatus has a 1500 g.p.m. Hale pump, 3000 Gallon poly-tank, driver, passenger side and rear 10” electric dump valves that are controlled from both pump panels or the cab.

The vehicle is equipped with 1 ¾, 2 ½  inch pre-connects and 1500 feet of 4 inch large diameter hose and a 18” Task Force Extend-a pipe with Elkhart Stinger deck gun.  Located on the passenger side of the truck is a aluminum framed 2,500 gallon porta-tank enclosed in a stainless steel covered box and the vehicle carries two portable pumps.  There is a through the tank compartment in the rear of the truck that holds a 14’ and 24’ ladders and various pipe poles.

This vehicle was set up to be a complete “one-person” operation vehicle for water hauling or pumping.  This was accomplished by having all dump controls in the cab area and a camera that is used for backing and viewing the rear dump area.
